Proud to support the next generation of health professionals

March 13, 2026

At Maren Medical Group, we are proud to have served as a supporting partner of the 2026 Health Professions Conference hosted by Reach Out at California State University, San Bernardino. It was an honor to support an event that welcomed more than 800 attendees — including nearly 700 students representing 17 high schools across the Inland Empire.

“Becoming a healthcare professional…is the beginning of a lifelong commitment to learning.”

—Dr. Kazemi

This year’s theme, Lead from Within, resonated throughout the program, especially during remarks from our own Dr. Siamak Kazemi. Drawing from his extensive career in healthcare, Dr. Kazemi shared personal insights and encouraged students to channel their passion, resilience, and ambition as they pursue futures in the health professions.

“Becoming a healthcare professional is not the end of education; it is the beginning of a lifelong commitment to learning. Medical professionals must continually study emerging evidence, refine their skills, and adapt their practices to provide the best possible care,” Dr. Kazemi shared with conference attendees.

“Medicine is imperfect. We can’t always hope the system will correct itself. That’s why it is so important to be strong enough [in your career] to overcome the wrong and take the ethical path. Shortcuts may benefit you in the short run but…eventually they’ll be detrimental to you and to the whole system.”

“To put it another way: always do the right thing.”

The Inland Empire continues to face a critical shortage of healthcare workers. Investing in programs that expand access, create pathways, and prepare the next generation of professionals is not only essential to our region’s future—it is central to our mission.

We commend Reach Out for its commitment to education, workforce development, and collaborative partnerships that strengthen and diversify our local healthcare workforce. We are proud that our support helped provide students with meaningful exposure to more than 20 healthcare careers, hands-on learning opportunities, and valuable connections with industry professionals.

We are grateful for the opportunity to engage with students, educators, and community partners, and we look forward to continuing this important partnership as the conference grows and inspires even more aspiring healthcare leaders in the years ahead.
