We take patient privacy very seriously. Online, Maren uses two distinct platforms. Maren.com provides information about Maren services, health providers, partners, and general health topics. We use a separate, secure website and mobile app (Maren MyChart) for patients’ electronic health records, appointment scheduling, and direct communication with health providers in accordance with HIPAA and other privacy laws. Maren.com and MyChart do not share any data, including sensitive and protected health information (PHI).

The MyChart portal maintains appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the privacy of your health information in compliance with HIPAA.

Job Applications
Our job application portal is powered by a third-party service. When you submit information through the application form, the data is processed by this service before being transmitted to us.

We place ads based on general demographic information to reach groups of people most likely to be interested in our message. As a matter of policy, we do not use site visits or other prior engagement data to target ads to individuals (known as “retargeting”).
On top of what we’re actively doing to protect user data as their marketing partner, Google has guidelines in place to ensure advertisers (Maren included) adhere to legal restrictions. We do not ask for medical history or health information and we do not sell or rent our subscriber list to others or send messages in exchange for remuneration.
We use a third-party service to manage our email subscriber list, deliver communications, and track engagement metrics. Recipients must opt in to receive these communications and may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link included in each email or in the Website footer.
