For as long as I can remember, I wanted to become a doctor—mostly stemming from seeing my younger brother suffer from polio and my wish to do all I could to help him.

I came to the US alone in 1986 and had to work to put myself through school. That meant at times holding three jobs and getting two to three hours of sleep at night. I have worked as a dishwasher, package handler and in a printshop just to be able to make it through.

I chose Internal Medicine to have a long term relationship with my patients and, in my view, have the ability to do the most for them when they need care.

Every patient has fears and concerns and things that they are seeking help and closure to. My job is to listen, understand their priorities, and make them feel comfortable before I start making recommendations. Once you gain trust of a patient, you need to attend to what might be their biggest concern, even if it may not coincide with your priority as their physician.

Above all, it’s important to be honest, be open, and be available.

Any free time I can get, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children. My goal for me and my family is to eventually visit as many or all the national parks and enjoy the God given beauties of these parks and concentrate on my landscape and bird photography hobby.

Computer programming, photography, gardening, cooking, green energy and solar energy…there is so much out there to enjoy and learn.
