Pay Range
Essential functions for this job
Clinical Duties:
Prepare patients for examinations, including taking and recording vital signs and medical histories.
Assist Physicians and/or Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners during medical procedures and examinations.
Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws and specimen collection.
Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
Administrative Duties:
Schedule patient appointments and manage the provider’s calendar.
Update and maintain electronic medical records.
Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and provide excellent customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Requires work experience performing the essential functions of a Medical Assistant or must possess a Medical Assistant certification (e.g., CMA, RMA) from an accredited program, or one year of education above high school with courses related to the nursing assistant occupation.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Work Environment
Position operates inside with little to no exposure to outside conditions. This position is customarily subject to a controlled ambient temperature and comfortable surroundings. May require heavy lifting occasionally, with prolonged standing at times. May require walking and assisting patients for extended periods of time. May involve exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials occasionally.
